Instagram is my absolute favourite app and tool of communication in the world of social media (after blogging of course). Ever since I started using the program I’ve loved it – even though there has been several periods when I’ve been rather inactive, just following my favourite instagramers (and trust me – there’s a plenty of them). Anyway, I love to post the small, beautiful pieces of  my life as photos – if not for sharing, then just for collecting those beautiful moments in one place for me to see whenever I feel sad. Even though there has been intense discussion on whether or not selfies signal selfishness, I feel like a selfie is more about capturing a happy moment and a happy face than anything else – after all, isn’t the face the one part of our body that can show emotions the best? A joyful smile, eyes that glimmer out of happiness and the memory of the moment in which the photo was taken are the most important parts of the selfie – it reflects a feeling and a moment. Although yes, yes… I do take selfies just for fun every now and then. In this post you’ll find my favourite moments of the past month captured through Instagram.

//   Instagram on ehdoton suosikkini mitä tulee sovelluksiin ja sosiaalisen median eri lähteisiin (bloggailun lisäksi). Siitä lähtien, kun ohjelmaan tutustuin, olen sitä rakastanut – vaikka olenkin monesti viettänyt pitkiäkin kausia “instailematta” mitään, keskittyen enemmän lempi-bloggaajieni, mediapersoonallisuuksien ja ystävieni seuraamiseen. Joka tapauksessa mielestäni on ihanaa julkaista kuvie elämän pienistä ja ihanista hetkistä – jollei muille jakamista varten, niin ainakin jotta itse joskus huonompana päivänä voisin selailla läpi Instagram-kansiotani ja todeta elämän olevan loppujen lopuksi aika ihanaa. Vaikka etenkin viime kuukausien aikana on käyty kiivasta keskustelua niin kutsutuiden selfieiden itsekeskeisyydestä, haluaisin kuitenkin nähdä selfiet enemmänkin onnellisen hetken ja iloisten kasvojen kuvastajana – loppujen lopuksihan on kuitenkin niin, että kasvomme ovat visuaalinen keino ilmaista tunteita. Onnellisuutta tihkuva hymy, ilosta säihkyvät silmät ja muisto hetkestä, jona selfie napattiin, ovat mielestäni selfien tärkeimmät osaset – selfiet reflektoivat tunteita ja hetkiä mitä ihanimmin tavoin. Tosin myönnän kyllä auliisti ottavani selfieitä silloin tällöin ihan vain huvin vuoksi. Tässä postauksessa näette viime kuukauden aikana instailemani otokset – suosikkihetkeni ja muistoni kuluneista viikoista.
