WEEKLY FAVOURITES 24

Time for the second “Weekly Favourites”-post in the history of Heeled Adventures. This week I’ve been fascinated and inspired by:

Colourful paintings – I am looking for something to frame in order to in a sense renew my room. I love the colours seen above, yet am not quite sure whether or not it would be slightly too much in my otherwise so lightly coloured room…

On the field of makeup I’m becoming more and more obsessed with differently coloured lipsticks and -glosses – I really need to find a perfect colour for myself, as right now none of my current lipsticks seem to really be fitting me as well as I’d wish them to.

The movie of this week is certainly The Grand Budapest Hotel, which I went to see yesterday more or less spontaneously. It was so, so good – in a way different from the mainstream of movies, and very well made; the plot was good, the actors were magnificent, the characters were fascinating and the humour was funny in a very genuine way etc. Really something to recommend!

The persons by whom I’ve been inspired by this week are Leighton Meester and Rosie Huntington-Whitley.. Leighton is so beautiful and will forever stay in my mind as a huge fashion inspiration through her portrayal of Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl. I cannot describe how happy I am for her and Adam Brody, they make such a beautiful and cute couple! Rosie Huntington-Whitley is my number one favourite VS-Angel together with Doutzen Kroes and her shooting together with The Coveteur was just really, really good (meaning: go and check it out!!!).

Last but not least: the cliché of the week or inspirational quote – whatever you wanna call it – is “Happiness comes from within”. Such a cliché, yet so very true. Something to keep in mind!

Tällä viikolla olen innostunut värikkäistä maalauksista – yritän kovasti löytää täydellistä kuvaa tai maalausta kehystettäväksi, jotta saisin hieman uutta ilmettä omaan huoneeseeni. Rakastan yläpuolella näkyvää kuvaa, mutta epäilen sen sopivuutta muuten niin vaaleaan huoneesseni…

Meikkien saralla ihastun hetki hetkeltä aina enemmän erivärisiin huulipuniin ja -kiiltoihin – minun on löydettävä itselleni se täydellinen sävy, tällä hekellä yksikään huulipunani ei tunnu hyvältä.

Viikon elokuva on puolestaan epäilemättä The Grand Budapest Hotel, jonka kävin katsomassa eilen. Elokuva oli mielestäni todella hyvä – se oli ihanalla tavalla erilainen, ja erittäin hyvin tehty: juoni oli yllätyksiä täynnä, näyttelijät olivat mitä parhaimmat, hahmot olivat kiinnostavia ja huumori oli aidosti hauskaa. Suosittelen siis lämpimästi!

Henkilöt jotka ovat inspiroineet minua tämän viikon aikana ovat Leighton Meester sekä Rosie Huntington-Whitley. Leighton on mielestäni äärettömän kaunis ja tulee – kiitos Blair Waldorfin roolin – ikuisesti pysymään mielessäni muoti-ikonina ja inspiraationa. Rosie on puolestaan aina ollut Doutzen Kroesin lisäksi suosikkini Victoria’s Secretin enkeleistä. Viime viikolla bongasin hänet The Coveteur-sivuston kuvista – kannattaa käydä kurkkimassa täältä!

Ja lopuksi viimeisenä, muttei suinkaan vähäisimpänä: viikon klisee tai inspiraatiolause, miksipä sitä nyt kutsuisi… “Happiness comes from within”. Vaikka lause ehkä sinällänsä on hyvin kliseinen, on se mielestäni silti jokseenkin tosi. Pystymme itse aika pitkälti vaikuttamaan oman iloomme, onneemme ja energiaamme positiivisella elämänasenteella. Se mielessä seilaankin iloisin mielin kohti alkavaaa viikonloppua – ihanaa perjantaita teillekin!
