Vaikka joululahjat taitavat olla blogi-skenessä aika lailla puitu, niin parempi myöhään kuin ei milloinkaan! Sain tänä jouluna kaiken kaikkiaan ihan todella onnistuneita joululahjoja, mutta yksi oli silti ylitse muiden. Muutaman mutkan ja melko suorien vihjausten jälkeen kulkeutui suosikkitonttuni korviin unelmani kahdesta Artekin Zebra tyynystä. Hymyni oli niin leveä, että poskiin melkein sattui, kun löysin ne lahjapussista ja sain asetella sohvalleni. En edes muista, milloin jokin materia olisi viimeksi näin ilahduttanut, näitä kelpaa kyllä katsella päivästä toiseen!

Artekin klassikkotyynynpäällisissä ihastuttaa ajattomuus, laadukkuus, suoraviivaisuus ja tietynlainen räväkkyys . Kotini on muutoin melko pitkälti valkoinen, harmaa ja sininen, ja näin ollen mustavalkoinen eläinkuosinen koristetyyny virkistää ilmettä kummasti! Näitä rakastan ja ihastelen todennäköisesti vielä 60 vuoden päästä vanhainkodissa, haha.

Kulunut viikko on ollut todella kiireinen, eikä kiire oikein näytä ottavan laantuakseen tulevanakaan viikkona. Nyt siis töiden kimppuun – eiköhän tästä muutaman kahvin voimalla selvitä! Ihanaa sunnuntaita kaikille!

// Even though I guess Christmas gifts should already be considered a bit last season, I thought “better late than never”, and decided to show you my favorite Christmas gift! In general I received many useful, beautiful and great gifts this year – actually better than I have in years. However, one of them was better than any of the others and exceeded pretty much all of my expectations. After some extremely straight-forward hints and a few bumps in the road my favorite helper of Santa’s heard my dream of two Zebra-patterned pillows from the Finnish design brand Artek. There might’ve been a tear or two and a wide smile almost hurting my cheeks when I got them and had the chance to finally put them on my couch. I can’t even remember when any material thing last would’ve made me this happy, and I have to say seeing these brings me joy every single day.

What charms me the most about these pillow cases is their timelessness, extremely high quality and a certain kind of edginess. My home is otherwise mostly white, grey and light blue, so the black and white animal printed pillows bring a lot of life and spirit into the interior! Judging by how much I like them and how great the quality seems to be, I’ll most likely still be holding on to these, loving and admiring them in 60 years in my rocking chair in some hopefully cosy elderly home, haha.

Now I’m off to school to check off as many things as possible from my to do list. Last week was super busy, and I don’t see it getting any easier in the upcoming one either. So, off to work – by the help of a bit of coffee this is totally doable (I think…)! Hope all of you have a great Sunday!
