Täällä on ollut kuuma. Olen yleisesti melko tyytyväinen säästä riippumatta, mutta nyt täytyy kyllä myöntää, että viikko yli 30 asteen helteissä (kuumimmillaan 38), ilman ilmaistointia oli hiukan liikaa. Jatkuva hikoilu, levoton uni, raskas ilma… Ei kiitos. Ilma alkaa kuitenkin jo viilentyä, ja asuntomme lämpötila lähestyä inhimillisiä asteita, joten eiköhän tuosta selvitty!

Pukeutuminen näin kuumiin säihin osoittautui yllättävän hankalaksi. Pyrin turvautumaan olilähinnä mahdollisimman ilmaviin mekkoihin, ohuisiin toippeihin sekä sandaaleihin. Kuvissa näkyvä valkoinen jumpsuit on täydellinen hellepäivän vaate, oli suunnitelmissa sitten rantapäivä tai ilta ulkosalla. Koko valkoinen sopii ihanasti kesään, eikö vain? 🙂

Viilentyvän ilman lisäksi viikonloppu oli muutenkin oikein ihana! Perjantaina vierailimme Wallace Collectionissa katsomassa Manolo Blahnikin näyttelyä yhdessä Jossen kanssa, sekä vietimme treffi-iltaa poikaystäväni kanssa. Kävimme syömässä 108 Brasseriessa Marylebonessa sekä päätimme illan drinksuilla livemusiikin äärellä. Lauantai kului lähinnä kotioloissa, mutta jaksoimme kuitenkin raahautua salille sekä pitkälle kävelylenkille pitkin jokirantaa. Eilen rikoin omat ennätykseni painonnostossa ja piipahdimme ostoksilla Canary Wharfissa. Vaikka viikonloppu olikin ihana, tuntuu nyt kuitenkin kivalta saada uusi viikko aloitettua!

// It’s been hot here… and I mean it. I in general want to consider myself quite relaxed when it comes to the weather and am happy whether it’s hot or cold, but I have to say that a week of over 30 degree heat, with 38 degrees at its worst is pushing my limits. The constant sweating, the restless sleep, the heavy air… Simply not for me. Anyway, things are looking brighter as now it’s only 24 degrees now and doesn’t seem to get much hotter at least in a while! Perfect!

However, dressing up for the hot weathers was a challenge! It’s been a lot about flowy dresses, barely there tops and sandals. This flowy white beauty of a jumpsuit is perfect for a day at the beach or a night out. There’s just something so fresh and summery in all whites, isn’t there! 🙂

Besides the weather cooling down, the past weekend was great! On Friday we visited the Wallace Collection for their Manolo Blahnik exhibition with my friend Josse, after which we had a proper date night out with my boyfriend. We dined at 108 Brasserie in Marylebone which was fun and finished the night with some drinks and live music in Greenwich. Saturday was spent more or less chilling at home, interrupted only by a quick visit to the gym and a long walk by the shore. Yesterday I scored my personal weightlifting records and then we went for a quick shopping spree in Canary Wharf. Good times, and now I’m ready for a brand new week again!
