Kuten aiemmin mainitsin sain ilokseni asua Tampere-talon yhteyteen rakennetussa upouudessa Marriott Courtyard hotellissa viime viikolla. Kokemus oli niin miellyttävä, että ajattelin kirjoittaa siitä tännekin lyhyen arvion siltä varalta, että joku teistä sattuisi olemaan matkalla Tampereelle!

Hotellihuoneeni oli kodikas ja tyylikkäästi sisustettu. Erityisen innoissani olin sängystä, joka oli yksi parhaista, joissa olen koskaan nukkunut! Peitto oli täydellisen raskas mutta kevyt, patja ihanan pehmeä mutta kiinteä ja lakanat lämmittäviä mutta viileitä. Tämä sänky kelpaisi kotiinkin! Jos jostain voin valittaa, niin olisin ehkä toivonut että suihku olisi ollut hiukan tehokkaampi (hiustenpesu oli jotenkin tosi hidasta). Sisustus-silmäni olisi puolestaan toivonut, että matto olisi vaihdettu johonkin tyylikkäämpään ja perinteinen “hotellitaulu” skipattu. Nyt ne tuntuivat vähän halventavan muuten tosi tyylikästä ja selvästi mietittyä sisustusta.

Miellytttävästä hotellikokemuksesta johtuva erityiskiitos kuuluu niin ikään respan superystävälliselle henkilökunnalle. Olen harvoin saanut yhtä ystävällistä, välittävää ja lämmintä asiakaspalvelua kuin täällä. Viihtymiseni eteen nähtiin vaivaa, mitä todella arvostan.

Viimeisenä, muttei suinkaan vähäisimpänä haluaisin kehua aamupalaa. Se ei sisältänyt mitään ylimääräistä tai erityistä, vaan lähinnä hyvälaatuisia perustuotteita, aina herkullisesta kinkusta ja juustosta suomalaisiin jälkiruokiin ja hyvään kahviin. Kaikki huomioon ottaen antaisin hotellille 8.5/10. Kokemus oli kaikin puolin miellyttävä, mutta kyseessä ei tietenkään ole mikään viiden tähden resortti. Työmatkailijalle tai nimenomaan miellyttävää hotelliyötä kaipaavalle tämä on kuitenkin täysi kymppi!

As mentioned earlier I had the pleasure of staying at the brand new Marriott Courtyard hotel in Tampere last week. The experience was so pleasant I thought it could be fun to make a brief review over here for you, just in case someone has their way towards Tampere!

Based on my previous middle price ranged hotel experiences I must say I would consider this a very pleasant hotel of its category. An extra compliment goes to the incredibly nice reception staff. I’ve rarely had such caring, smiling and warm customer service as I had here. They truly made an effort to make my stay as pleasant as possible, which I truly appreciate!

The room was welcoming, elegantly decorated and felt like home ever since day one. Special thanks goes to an amazing bed, truly one of the best ones I’ve ever laid upon 😀 The blanket was perfectly heavy but light, the mattress amazingly soft but firm and sheets warming but cool. Wish I could’ve brought it back home with me! The only complaints I could come up with would be the slightly inefficient shower head and the carpet and traditional hotel picture on the wall which I feel kind of downgraded the otherwise stylish and elegant decor.

Last but not least the breakfast was great. Nothing over the top or too special, but consisting of good quality basics, from good ham and cheese to chocolate pastries and good coffee. For what it is I would give the hotel a 8.5/10. I really liked it a lotlot but still it obviously isn’t a five star resort. For a person travelling for work or looking for a good nights sleep I would however recommend it from the bottom of my heart!
