Loma päättyi, ja arki alkoi: Nyt edessä siintää kevätlukukauden kaksi viimeistä kuukautta! Loma ei tällä kertaa oikein täyttänyt tarkoitustaan, sillä aloitin opinnot ihan yhtä väsyneenä, yhtä pitkällä to-do listalla ja yhtä isoilla silmäpusseilla kuin ennen lomaa, haha. Tästä huolimatta on ihanaa päästä taas arkirytmiin kiinni, ja odotan innolla, mitä kaikkea näillä kesälomaa edeltävillä kuukausilla on vielä tarjottavana!

Vaikka viikonloput ovat tätä nykyä ihan yhtä täynnä tehtävää kuin arkikin, on lauantai- ja sunnuntai-aamuissa siitä huolimatta jotain tosi ihanaa. Maailma on niin paljon rauhallisempi, koulussa on niin ihanan vähän ihmisiä, mikään ei häiritse pitkin päivää ja saan keskityttyä opiskeluun ihan eri tavalla. Vaikka vakaasti vannon jonain päivänä viettäväni viikonloppuni poikkeuksetta ihan vain pitkien aamupalojen, siivoilun ja puutarhoinnin parissa, nautin tällä hetkellä tosi paljon siitä, että saan työskennellä tavoitteideni eteen rauhassa myös viikonloppuisin.

Tänään en todella näytä ihan niin siistiltä kuin mitä nämä kuvat antavat ymmärtää, haha, mutta viime lauantaina näytin! Tyylillisesti tämä aika vuodesta on mielestäni aina yhtä hankala: on vähän liian lämmin talvivaatteille, mutta samalla ihan liian kylmä kevätasuille. Mekot, sukkikset ja nilkkurit ovat olleet arkipukeutumisen pelastajia, mutta näissä säissä eivät enää nekään jaksa ilahduttaa. Lämpimiä säitä ja auringonpaistetta odotellessa…

And so it begins: The last two months of the spring semester, my first year of law school and last year of my studies at the Arts University! The holiday did not really serve its purpose, and I’m getting started more or less sleep deprived, with a way too long to-do list, and bags under my eyes that most certainly aren’t Chanel, lol. Despite this, I’m so happy to be back on track, and excited to see what these two last months before my summer holiday have to offer!

Although my weekends are currently every inch as packed as weekdays, there is something almost holy about my Saturday and Sunday mornings. The world is so much more calmer, there are so few people around in school, there is nothing to disturb me throughout the day, and I tend to focus so much better than I do during the week. One day I swear I’ll spend my weekends doing nothing but enjoying long breakfasts, running errands, cleaning (my favourite free-time occupation, haha), playing with my kids and gardening, but for now it feels quite nice to be able to hustle like never before all on my own even throughout Saturdays and Sundays.

Today I don’t look quite as pulled together as these pics might make it seem, haha, but last Saturday I did! This is the time of the year when I feel quite lost when it comes to style: it’s a bit too warm for winter clothes but still too cold to properly move on to spring gear. Dresses and boots have been my go-to, but in the name of honesty I must say I’m getting so tired of this crappy weather (it’s snowing atm…) and cannot wait for 10 degrees warmer and sun… Until then you’ll find me running around wearing either too much or too little: the likelihood of me getting it just right seems to be close to non-existent 😀
