Olen saanut monia ihania, ajatuksella valittuja ja kauniita lahjoja vuosien saatossa, mutta aina silloin tällöin joku antaa jotain, joka lämmittää sydäntä ja sykähdyttää vähän eri tavalla kuin muut lahjat. Heinäkuussa yksi syntymäpäivälahja oli ylitse muiden, kun kaksi rakkainta ystävääni osti lahjaksi aivan ihanan ystäväkirjan. Idea on samanlainen kuin niissä kirjoissa, joihin koottiin ystävien vastauksia ja terveisiä ala-asteella, mutta toteutus mitä kysymyksiin ja muotokieleen tulee on vähän aikuismaisempi. Olen haaveillut tyylikkäästä ystäväkirjasta vaikka miten ja kauan, mutta sopivaa on ollut tosi vaikea löytää. Tämä kuitenkin täyttää kaikki mahdolliset kriteerit!

Olen niin kiitollinen kaikista ystävistäni, ja etenkin huomioiden, että olen pian taas matkaamassa maailmalle, tuntuu ihanalta ajatukselta koota yhteisiä muistoja yhden kirjan kansiin. Kirja on mielestäni myös mitä täydellisin lahja, oli kyseessä sitten tupaan tulijaiset, baby showerit tai synttärit, ja tulen ehdottomasti pitämään kirjan mielessä ensi kerralla, kun on aika ostaa ystävälle jotain ihanaa. // I’ve received numerous thoughtful and beautiful gifts throughout the years, but every once in a while someone gives something that just seems a bit more heart warming and meaningful than all other presents. For my birthday in July I got one of just those gifts as two of my closest friends gave me the most beautiful friendship book – a book in which you’re friends can answer to certain questions and send you their greetings. The book is just like the ones we used to have back in secondary school, but the questions and layout are a bit upgraded to fit a slightly maturer taste. I’ve been dreaming of a visually pleasing book of friends for quite a while, but the perfect one has been hard to find. This one, however, truly checks all the boxes!

I’m so grateful for my friends and in particular given the fact that I’ll be leaving soon, I find this the perfect way to collect memories of them all between two covers. I think this is such a great gift for anyone, whether the occasion is a housewarming, baby shower or birthday, and will most certainly keep this in mind next time I need to buy someone a gift!
